1. Overview

Credi ("we," "us," or "our") is a credit card recommendation app for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the app, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's core functionality:

• Phone number — used solely for account authentication via SMS one-time code. We do not use your phone number for marketing.
• Precise location — accessed while the app is open to identify nearby merchants and provide card recommendations. Location is processed on-device and is never stored on our servers.

We do not collect card numbers, account numbers, CVV codes, expiration dates, bank credentials, browsing history, or any other personal or financial information.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Phone number — to create and secure your account, and to verify your identity if you request account deletion.
• Location — to detect nearby merchants in real time and return the most relevant card recommendation for your current location. Location data is not stored after the recommendation is generated.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the third-party service providers required to operate the app:

• Firebase (Google LLC) — provides authentication (phone sign-in) and cloud data storage. Firebase processes your phone number as part of the sign-in flow and stores any card metadata you save in the app. Firebase's data is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you request account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.

6. Your Choices

• Location access — you can revoke location permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Credi. The location-based recommendation feature will be unavailable, but you can still use Merchant Search.
• Account deletion — email us at crediresolution@gmail.com from the phone number associated with your account to request full deletion of your account and data.

7. Security

All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Authentication is handled by Firebase, which uses industry-standard security practices. We do not store financial credentials of any kind, which limits the sensitivity of data we hold.

8. Children's Privacy

Credi is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
